Serum Visions is definitely a strong card, but getting access to your card selection immediately instead of waiting a turn makes things flow much more smoothly

Ive talked to players who do thisplayers who turn up at a shop expecting to play these cobbled together piles of competitive scrawlings because, its all they have to play with their other playgroup. Whether the shop would allow this or not aside, its not conducive to playing outside your own playgroup, and it isnt in the spirit of Commander

If you just want the tl;dr and my bottom-line assessment: MTGProxy is one of the better sites out there to order from they have tons of ordering options, reasonably fast shipping, and very solid card quality

The big difference here is you dont control any permanents to produce mana or sacrifice at the start of a game, whereas the rules let you start with a full grip of seven cards ready to be spent immediately plus another free one each turn
